The only other way is to buy a flash chip with xpe on it already or have it sent out and flashed for you. I believe TKMedia does that, how much I don't know.

Howdy Milt, sounds to me like you put the iso itself on a disk rather than burning the image. Anywho, grab this (http://www.imgburn.com/) and install it. When you open the program click on "write image to disk". If you have more than one cd/dvd drive make sure you pick the burner otherwise...

My super small flash drive arrived today (Super Talent Pico-C) I wanted to get something that was tiny but not so thing that it would snap in half if the breeze blew the wrong way. Anywho here are some pictures of just how small it is.
