puppy linux with Tango GPS works and lets you use cache google road and sat maps or open map.
no auto routing but fast stable lots of detail..

Can we direct connect to the webdt to our car battery?  .Alternater usualy puts out around 14v, maybe with some old power supply diodes in line to drop it down a volt or 2?

Well I tried re installing the pcmanfm package, no go. Then tried a kernel upgrade, no go, tried updating udev, added pcmciautils upgrade pm-utils,no go. I am no linux guru though..lol  it scans the pcmcia slot for devices and finds pcmcia card in slot one.  but in var/log/messages there is  no card...

  I had to bring in the kernel headers and its dependancies and the make package added around 35megs to the image if i recall. then just make clean, make install. added a line to the etc/modules (out of the readme file in the driver package), and changed the wlan to eth0 in wireless preferances. You have any issues with the cf slot on this image? my cfcard loads under puppy, xubuntu live, ect. but I cant seem to get it to mount using this image.  dmeg recognizes me pulling a card out or in but thats all it does. card installed into slot 1: is all i get as a log. love the image though runs f...

I got a cheap usb gps dongle, got tangogps installed, this makes a great gps unit.

Can I use the license from my current XPe image to build a new image, I want to rework the image I have add and remove apps, I have no idea how. lol I was going to follow the tutorial in the 366 area but it keeps talking about a trial version..

If these 360's are using 5v on the ide connecter i should be able to connect a laptop HD just by modding a laptop ide cable to the shorter contact points no?

Found the proper driver for my wifi off the via site.. instead of the vt6655 driver mine uses the vt6656 driver.
