Has anyone used the reset button, located on the back? It is hidden behind a round sticker. I was curious what type of a reset does it perform. Thanks for pointing out it's existence. When booting I tried both safe mode and passing vga=normal on the boot command at startup. That should have forced a 640x480 screen. Just a dumb question, have you tried setting vga=769 ? I had an issue on the knoppix live cd I was using to copy my drive image off the network and onto the harddrive...

Based on the fact that you only have ~500M of storage on the webdt 366 (if you don't add a Compact Flash card, which I ended up doing), your best bet is probably to generate your own linux filesystem by hand, selecting only the very basic items that you need.
