Re: Installed External HD Recognized by bios, but cant fdisk

I have done whats has been dubbed the "Dingleberry Mod" which is what you have done. Can you snap some pics? I have extensive writeups on my progress on different drives that do and dont work, how I have hooked them up, and the needed steps to make sure they wont blow up... and yes, I have...

Re: Drives that work using the "Dingleberry" Mod

Well this was working perfectly fine until the HDD Decided to die. Mechanical failure of the drive itself. If you happen to get your hands on one of these drives I wish you the best of luck. You should be able to get the best performance out of your WebDT with it.

Drives that work using the "Dingleberry" Mod

For those of you who dont know I have removed the 44 pin low-profile header from one of my WebDT 366s and routed an IDE cable outside, which has been dubbed the "Dingleberry Mod". At first it looked like this; https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-xoS3symq18M/SgjQVuf9SCI/AAAAAAAAC_w/8LhhWroo-...

Re: Webdt 366 MicroWin Xp installation/ keyboard question

MicroXP has pretty much all and any drivers stripped from it. This is what you get for using it. Install USB HID Keyboard Generic drivers and hope it works.

Re: IDE-CF MOD

I hardwired proper IDE cable to the motherboard, routed it outside the case, and terminated with a standard 44 pin IDE header. That lets me plug in pretty much anything I need, although I do plan on making a hardwired Microdrive adapter sometime soon.

Re: WebDT 366 GX Internal Documentation

Small note about the 512MB FlashROM boards. They are in a very VERY slow PIO Mode 1 - a Whopping 5MB/s, compare that to a modern UDMA 133MB/s drive, or SATA 300MB/s. TKMedia donated a 1GB Flashrom Board to me and it ran in UDMA mixed mode 2 which clocked at about 33.3MB/s - huge speed and performanc...

Works like a dream now! Even have an adapter letting me use 1.8" IDE drives. Got a 30GB hooked up. Sexy fast.

Re: Queries Abt CF Cards

The Compact Flash card slot in the WebDT is only USB 1.1 as far as I know. The IDE bus on the other hand I have pushed up to UDMA Mode 2 using Microdrive.

The DOM is 3.3V, and also uses a non-standard IDE connector. Check my posts on the forums for more in depth details about the hardware.

Uhhh, thats Windows Mobile software, not Windows XP. What the hell are you talking about? If you want to make an image of the OS, you can use DriveImage XML included with BartPE. Both are free tools. http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/  Bart's Preboot Environment http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-...

Wireless Warrior

Many of my friends call me the 'Wireless Warrior' because of all the funky crap I do with radio and other wireless technologies. From scanning for wifi and bluetooth, to intercepting data over RF channels, and even some nifty Ham Radio Stuff. I have an inexpensive Atheros 5x00 802.11 a/b/g PCMCIA ca...

Re: Core requirements for hacking your WebDT

I use USB Multiboot V10 to make my USB Thumbdrives bootable with my Windows OS install. I did a tutorial on how to use it on BSoD http://forums.bsodtv.org/Episode-30-Windows-XP-NT5-USB-Multiboot-t530.html Be forewarned that the WebDT units can get a little bitchy at what USB devices are hooked in. I...
