Re: Windows XP from a USB flash drive, hardware buttons troubles

hi dave, good to know you aced the webdt. I managed to install everything and i'm running off a USB HDD, with swap file working via USB, the only thing that stopped working is setbright. I noticed there is setbright and brightness.exe . I set the btnmgr to run the brightness.exe on btn3 press and i ...

Re: Hardware specs

There is a broadcom card on ebay that allows 1080p h264 decoding. I think it's mPCIE but I will check if mPCI version exists. That will be awesome. I think we should create naming conventions like "366lx800" and "366lx800@500/512ram/512rom/usb2"  so we can determine the real hard...

Re: Connect CF-card to IDE2 JHDD2

my 366 has LX series CPU which comes with USB 2.0 chipset. Watch the video of me booting full blown 1.5 GB xp install in under a minute in the other thread and then playing quake 2.

Re: Hardware specs

My 366lx800 comes with a 500 MHz cpu, 512 ram, 512 nand and USB 2.0. Any webdt that uses LX series cpu has USB 2.0

btw, the wifi card slot on tbowland's 366, is it mini-pci or pcmcia?

is there significant energy saving in connecting this way VS booting off a USB hard drive that uses USB power?

Re: DT366 - auto car charger

You CAN rig a straight cable from car cig lighter to a barrel plug BUT I it's very unsafe because when car starts or stops the voltage might spike and damage your webdt. Some old cars supply 14.4 and not 12v. Also most cig lighters come with a 10A or 15A fuse, not 3A, so lots of power available ther...

USB mass storage on XP

After wasting a weekend trying to install xp from USB stick and learning it's just not fucking doable, I gave up and bought a USB DVDR. The Micro xp install was easy and I got all the devices to work except WPA2 for wifi. The WEP works but not WPA2. Also for some reason it does not assign drive lett...

back up the entirety of their hard dick and to save it you killed me  ;D I have exact same tablet as you, from tbowland. My main concern is flash degradation due to writes. AFAIK linux is less abusive than windoze when it comes to disk activity. My plan is installing winxp with enhanced write filte...

Re: Ubuntu 9.04 on WebDT366-LX800

I'm getting so frustrated with installing winxp on mine! When unpack ISO to USB drive setup starts up and then fails with corrupt "txtsetup.sif" even though there is no problems with it, as if it unmounts the USB stick when setup runs. I know the forums are new but seems like everyone is k...
