Re: Puppy 4.31 again

Testing ability to upload image directly to site. This is an old (very old) Debian 6 image for the lx800 This should be in the DT360 section as it may not boot on most GX series. This image os for a DT366 with LX800 hardware. You would know if you had 512MB of ram and a Marvell wireless card. Or jus...

Re: Debian 6 linux image for the WebDT366lx800

you will want to use the maverick build. I have had no joy with later versions of clonezilla. You can find the older builds on clonezilla's download page by selecting "other mirrors". Here you can download the above referenced build. ftp.twaren.net/local-distfiles/clonezilla-live/alternati...

Re: How to access bios DT366

I would suspect the charger is defective. I would try another charger if you can find a friend or relative with compatible charger. Check the voltage output on the center pin to the outer ring it should be approx 5volts if I remember correctly. I would explore the charger thoroughly before flashing ...

Re: help!!! Win CE corrupted.

You can try booting a live CD, or USB Operating system such as BartPE, Hirens Boot CT, or a Live Linux like Slax. Navigate to the folder and name it back to the original name. I booted Hirens Boot CD to verify it works. I did have one issue. I have a Docking station for the DT, for some reason only ...

Re: Wireless Desktop - Windows 7 on webdt using Teamviewer

I see teamviewer does have a small footprint. I had not tried it on the DT but did try VNC. Since seeing this post I tried Teamviewer and set both server and client to local network. I felt the response time was too slow compared to RemoteDesktop. Unfortunately RDP, is not included with MicroXP and ...

Re: Much Action Here Lately?

512MB RAM on a GX is rare I think.

If you want to try an image for a GX there are several on this site.  Here are just a few.

Re: Debian 6 linux image for the WebDT366lx800

Nice Job quotaholic! I will test out your image soon. Please let us know how you got penmount to work.  I was unsuccessful getting penmount installed.  I used Debian Squeeze Net install CD.  After jumping through a few hoops on install, I kept getting errors trying to install Penmount.  I tried usin...

Re: 12v from vehicle

Be warned the 12v powerport on a vehicle is not equal to a smart charger.  The  voltage can vary and it is possible to damage the charging circuit on the DT.  This can be especially true during cranking the starter motor.  There are inexpensive power inverters available which can be used for other i...

Re: Formal apology

I played with tinyCore  a while back on a DT366GX.  It does fly when first installed.  If you set it up with persistent boot and added modules, it is really not any faster than say Debian. The biggest problem with TinyCore is the CF card slot is not recognized at all, if I remember correctly. I also...

Re: What I brought mine for and how I am using it

When creating an Nlite project, I thought the session file would do all the magic. For the working directory (the nlited files) the root directory has two created files for each session or attempt. LAST SESSION.INI and LAST SESSION_U.INI. I thought I coul just grab the two files above from your vers...

Re: What I brought mine for and how I am using it

Nice, I messed with nLite, but only got it down to 177MB.  I wanted to retain the RDP, which is stripped from microXP. Would you mind sharing your nLite config file.  I believe that is all anyone would need to replicate your setup, and take advantage of all your hard work).  Windows Components I do ...

Re: Source for low profile IDE connector

Can you post some pics?

I think you may be able to find folks here willing to sell their 512chips to you, since some have upgraded to 4Gig chips.  You may want to put a call out (request).

Re: MicroXP / XP drivers

Why do you need an image.  MicroXP install is dead simple.  Download the V0.82 build, burn to CD, install via USB CD ROM, keyboard and mouse.

There are links to the drivers for DT366 LX and DT366 GX. in this post.

Re: Connecting to wifi----

I'm sorry it has been so long since I used WinCE 5.  From memory the wireless connection client was in the quick launch menu near the clock (bottom right).  It would help to just remove the wireless card and see what model it is, two screws under antenna mount. I'm not sure, but you may want to see ...
