Re: USB to Serial and WiFi card

XP Pro may also solve your problems. Follow the links posted here re: MicorXP or make your own mini-XP for your tablet with NLITE. These tablets run nicely with a trimmed down XP Pro or even XP Embedded.

I have most all drivers if you need them. -Dave

Re: Xybernaut Atigo-M series -- Changing OS

You'll find many limitations with these DT375 / Atigo "M" tablets. They only have a non-removable 64mb of storage that can not be upgraded. You can not boot off USB, CF card or PCMCIA card - no other options. What they are is what they will be. In the Tampa area there are a lot of them wit...

Re: DT366LX Image?

XPe, XP Pro or XP Tablet Edition? Do you have 256mb of RAM or 512? What is the size of your flash drive? - some OSes need more space. I have the tools to make a custom install for your unit if I can get certain data from it first.

Re: Cheap internal battery for DT360 or DT310

These work on the DT310 and DT360 but NOT the DT366, DT375 or DT368. Different connectors and sizes.

A great deal for the DT310 and DT360 owners.

Cheap internal battery for DT360 or DT310

http://cgi.ebay.com/180685902043 These internal batteries usually cost $70 dealer price in quantity and here are some brand new for $37 delivered. $137 is a more typical price. The Crestron is a repacked DT360 so these batteries will work in the DT360 and DT310. Grab them before they figure out thei...

Re: Looking to buy DT 366 with LX 800 - new or used

I have one for sale. It's the AZENTEK DT360 with 1gb of RAM and a 20gb hard drive. It has USB2, a PCMCIA slot with an AT&T Sierra wireless card and install CD - check your local AT&T shop for activation - it includes the SIM card. It's loaded with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition with COA sticke...

Extended WIFI range with the 360 or 310

Need better WIFI range?  Heres a cheap trick that will enhance your WIFI efficiency. First, this is for the DT360 and DT310 possibly others - that use a mini-PCI WIFI card and do not have a pull-up antenna like the DT366LX.  The problem is the WIFI antenna is embedded inside under the cover for t...

Re: DT310 XPe corrupted

I have it from my 310 running XPe SP2.  The file is 6,029,312 bytes - is that what you want? Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send it to you.  You'll need to boot some other operating system and drop the file in the directory.  I used Puppy Linux to copy it off as the file does not allo...

Re: DT310 XPe corrupted

Do you know the exact file(s) that are corrupt?  I may be able to help you out.  Does it come up in safe mode?  Do you get a message like 'can't find file xxxxxx.xxx' or similar error message?

Re: DT310 IDE Problems

Do you have a 1.8" drive installed as DRIVE2?  Is it loose?  Have you checked the BIOS backup battery?  You can get a replacement at Radio Shack or anyplace that sells those little button batteries.  The button battery is a CR1220.  The 310 comes apart easily so it's an easy job to replace the ...

I screwed up on the registry hack I gave you - it has an error and the arrow keys up-down-left-right are screwed up.  This fixes it.  If you never did the bad registry "fix" then no need to correct the "fix"  Thanks to volkswagner for the idea on using the right-side button as an...

Re: What I brought mine for and how I am using it

When you install XP you choose FAT or NTFS when you format.  You need to choose NTFS so that you can use compression - it's the only way to go with just 512mb of space.  The FAT to NTFS converter has problems so just select NTFS at the start. The last_session.ini will restore the last choices of YOU...

Re: What I brought mine for and how I am using it

When you use NLITE it makes a file in the i386 directory of the ISO image before you install.  The file is NLITE.INI and it has the registry tweaks that you selected when you ran NLITE.  Use 7zip to explore the ISO and extract the file.  MicroXP has TWEAK.REG and the STARTUPXP.BAT routine that runs ...

Re: Hardware specs

Only the newer screens can run 1024x768.  If you have one that can only display 800x600 then that's all you can have.  The 1024x768 is pretty small but works well with a slightly larger system font - well, for me anyway.  Having the extra space is great. Glad you like the rotation routine.  It's gre...
