puppy quirky
You can get it here: http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/quirky/ Read about it here: http://www.bkhome.org/quirky/index.html This very well may not work on the 366 but it's damn sure worth a try because it is much smaller than the other puppy versions with out the feature creep. Also a...

Re: Another try?
It was the alpha that you used so there was the risk of crashing. If it did work 1 out of 100 tries that does beg for another attempt with a more stable release. The final version is being released on april 29th.

Slitaz
Slitaz. It is a mini linux distribution like puppy or Damn small linux but the good news is it keeps it's kernel up to date. It loads on my desktop much faster than puppy. It doesn't have a penmount package availible but it I recall there is a driver called PenMount for Linux GPM. The distro comes ...

Re: Looking for a volunteer with linux installed on their dt
I wasn't aware that norton Ghost worked on linux. Further more if it does work it isn't free this is FOSS. You do have Norton Ghost but other people here that may create an image may not have norton ghost. This is available to everyone and it might be easier to install with than dd. It gives those ...

Looking for a volunteer with linux installed on their dt
I won't some one to test out something. I want you to use this software on your dt and test it out: http://www.mondorescue.org/ It's a disk cloning software. The website should pretty much tell you what to do. Pretty much if it works it will allow you to copy your OS to USB. That USB should then be ...

Maybe a linux distro can be made custom for the web dt with an installer
Maybe.. I can't do it. I lack alot of in depth skill with Linux. There have been a few ways images have been created specifically for the webdt. I thought though there must be a tool for really stripping down linux to make a custom build and maybe even with an installer. I looked around at various d...

Re: anyone interested in a little test?
I was thinking this as an easier way to transfer an os to the on board flash. Instead of doing it in dd do it (if it would have worked) would have done it ina graphic user mode thereby making it a few steps easier for a novice. I don't know specifically about building a from the ground up os but I d...

anyone interested in a little test?
I found an interesting little os. I don't think it will add desired functionality to any of the webdts but it may add an any idiot tool to a good number of individuals who might need it. Here are its stats http://www.visopsys.org/about/index.html. I think it will load up and work with the most to al...

Would it be possible?
To transfer the IMG to cd or flash drive in a way that would boot them if you changed the bios to boot from cd or usb? if there was a way especially to do so from a usb flash drive a simpler tutorial could be written for each individual distro created if any differed. Essentially everything should b...

Re: Penmount Driver Update / uninstall issue
First off did you install Microxp? Second did you install all of the drives from the thread about MicroXP? The drives that were said to be for MicroXP? Not any xpe drivers or anything else like that but the ones on this site that basically said hey these drivers are for Microxp. Do this. Completely ...
