Re: Apacer DOM - 90 degree
The OEM that made the connector for the WebDT no longer does. There is slim to no chance you will fine something that fits unless you retrofit the webDT with a new header... which wasnt all too hard for me.

Re: [Photo] How to add 8G flash on WEBDT Tablet
An update, check here: http://webdt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8 Molex no longer makes the connector for the flashrom boards, so I pulled the header on the motherboard off and put in a standard one. After this I can use adapters to boot the unit from *insert IDE drive here* however the bus only suppl...

Re: WebDT 366 GX Internal Documentation
If someone can send me the physical chips I will take a whack at it, but like I mention in the FAQ, this could be a suicidal attempt on your DTs life if you are not familiar with surface mount solder rework. If you meant the FlashROM... yes, I tried, was successful, but that is even more suicidal. T...

Re: Anyone try a PCMCIA USB2.0 Card?
All of the PCMCIA wifi cards I have worked under XP/Linux so far. The only issue was drivers in general, but... being that its XP/Linux, its not a hardware issue. (I mean, some cards under linux arent supported. Everything in XP works just fine)

Re: Does anyone rebuild battery for DT366 ?
The batteries I took apart I didnt find any overvolt protection ICs. Just plain ol' Li-Ion cells. The cost of a battery rebuild will cost more than what i paid for a WebDT, if using the Li-ION cells (there is a specific name for it, I cant recall. Not Polymer ION... but something similar). I thought...

Hardware hacking my DT (Replacing the FlashROM Board)
All my progress is here: http://www.foxxs.blogspot.com/ I have done enough typing for the week, so I am not going to repost it here. For all the lazy people I will make an outline: Dont bother buying any sort of Disk on Chip module, gender benders, or other simple magic jack that claims yo...

Re: Connect CF-card to IDE2 JHDD2
I dont know why the Compact Flash Card fried, I can only suspect that the header is not in fact... compact flash compatible. It could be that it can only support Microdrives, but I am not about to toss an expensive Microdrive on the bus to find out I am wrong. You are comparing apples to oranges wit...

Re: my touchscreen is way off center
I dont have Windws CE on my DT right now so I dont know the step by step process. Under XP (or embedded) you can run the penmount utility, go to advanced options, tell it to do a 25 point linear calibration and check the lil' box that says "Save to EEPROM". It could be that the calibration...

Re: Queries Abt CF Cards
See that arrow that says "Do not cover this hole"? Ive used microdrives inside of appliances like the WebDT and have had them fail in less than a year because of the lack of ventilation. If you arent worried about that, this card *should* work.

Re: What WIFI cards work with the Web dt366?
Huge difference. If you dont know what the difference between Windows XP and WIndows CE, I suggest you do your homework. Almost any PCMCIA wifi card will work... as long as the OEM has drivers for your host OS. In this case if you are running Windows CE, you are morbidly short on selections. Win XP ...

Re: IDE-CF MOD
Ummm. I like pie?
the cable is not reliable. Dont bother.
Also, its not RAM, its FlashROM... big difference. I suggest you get it straight before you try to mod your DT.

Re: my touchscreen is way off center
Have you tried to recalibrate using the penmount drivers and save the calibration info to the onboard EEPROM? (Thats the EEPROM thats on the touchscreen controller, not the WebDT FlashROM that holds the OS).
