Re: How do I right click?

Just keep the stylus held down... that will bring up the right click menu (sometimes yes, sometimes no).

Re: 100% Working NimbleX on the WebDT366

Personally, until I find a sleeker & slimmer Linux build that is more responsive on the WebDT, I'm sticking to USB Booting.  Hopefully the build that Bogdan is working on will be much more responsive and have a faster boot-up process.

Glad I could help.  My kids really enjoy the Paint program... it makes for a great digital coloring pad for fun scribbles.

Re: 100% Working NimbleX on the WebDT366

Here's some technical background on this tutorial (and I'm glad that it worked for someone else). 1. This "mix build" is based on Slax5 and NimbleX2007 ... which use compressed .MO files not .LZM's 2. Converting a .LZM  to  .MO causes 'haphazard' results if you don't convert them properly....

Backing up the contents of internal flash

@volkswagner I suggest you use DD to create a clone of the entire drive ... it's only 500mb anyway, so you can easily burn it to a CD for an easy restore.  The benefit of creating a RAW image of the entire drive, is that it will keep all partitioning structure.  This is the best method for creating ...

Re: How do I back up Windows CE?

Another method is just bring up the KDE file browser, and tap the "F4" key on the XVKBD program ... that will launch a console window in whatever folder you are browsing.

I only found this site at all because of the nimblex vid on youtube.
I guess my videos have brought in some traffic to WebDT.org then.  Glad I could help out.  ;D

Re: How do I back up Windows CE?

Volkswagner, you're were kind of on the right track... but there's no need to use partitioning.  Now that there's a way to run NimbleX off a USB stick, just make a 4gb usb stick and then use the DD command to backup the entire internal drive card onto your 4GB stick in a single image file ... it's o...

CarPC WebDT MediaCenter ... is it possible?

I have no idea if this would even be able to run on the WebDT -- but look at this interesting video I found on YouTube ---  this would be great if this could be done on these units.  From what I understand, the unit is running some type of custom Ubuntu/Elisa build....  maybe some type of micro dist...

Re: Hi there, I'm a seller for these WEBDT 366's

Really? That's odd, because I purchased my WebDT from this seller with no problems at all.  The items was a bit slow at shipping, but the seller did answer all my questions fast enough.  The WebDT that I purchased from this seller was the WebDT366 GX, came with bluetooth wi-fi card, stylus, power ad...

Re: Attn. Everyone who reads this, we need Ubuntu help! Add to the bug in launchpad

I haven't tried Ubuntu (and since I got NimbleX working, I prob won't), but my guess is that it's having the same problems as the slackware builds had when they were starting the X11 window manager... they were trying to force a screen resolution that the WebDT didn't like. That's why it took me so ...

Re: How do I get into the BIOS?

Just a tip for those who go into the BIOS.  If you plan on using your WebDT366 as a portable movie player (like me), then up the shared video memory to 16MB to get smoother playback.

Re: WebDT with some neat WinCE apps

All those nice apps that you've seen me running on my WebDT366 from the YouTube video are now available for download in a quick and convenient spot.  I've uploaded them all to my filesharing account.

You can find the link to those files here:
