Re: Hardware specs - VIDEO DRIVERS

I have had a few PMs about video drivers so here's some info: Video drivers.......... 07/02/2004 - v1.4.0.0 - originally shipped with 366GX (works with all flavors of XP - all models) 11/22/2005 - v3.0.2.0 - originally shipped with 360 & some 366LX (2k and all XP - rotatable - LX only) other ver...

Re: DT310 IDE Problems

Have you resolved this?  If it's broken, I could use the parts to repair another one if you want to get rid of it.

Let me know via PM.

Thanks.  -Dave

Re: Hardware specs

Any LX processor WEBDT - 366 or 360 - can rotate the video for landscape or portrait viewing.  This is great for e-reading.  The newer BIOS can also support 1024x768 as well as 800x600. Sorry GX owners, this is for LX processors only in either XPe or XP Pro. Search google for: "AMD Geode LX Pr...

Re: Reset back to factory settings or do a clean install

You don't have to press and hold the reset button in the back.  First you power off the 375 - not standby.  Do this by pressing and holding the power button.  Once the device is "off" then press the front buttons number 1 and 2 together THEN press and hold the power button.  By holding all...

Re: MicroXP doesn't want to install

I have had limited success with WINTOUSB on the WEBDT as well as other computers.  Burn XP to a CD and install from a USB CD - you'll have no trouble.

Good luck, -Dave

Re: Functional linux image for the DT360 512MB

Option 2........ Replace the VIA card with the Intel 2200BG card - works great on all OSes I have tried.  It also has FAR better sensitivity for much farther range.  I use the Intel card in the 366 (LX) and the 360. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180637539502 $8.99 delivered ...

Re: Connecting to wifi----

Some newer routers default with 802.11b disabled - especially the newer "N" speed models.  Check the router that it is in mixed mode to support "B".  I have a couple of those old Cisco 350 cards laying around if you need one.  If you plan to upgrade to XP or Linux then a new card...

Re: Holding the power button always resets the WebDT 366??

From the powered off mode, pressing the power button on the DT366 (GX or LX) for 4-6 seconds will reset all BIOS settings to the default settings.  The clock and date will not be reset.

Re: Looking for PCI to CARDBUS bridge driver

Puppy Linux works great on the 366. The TI driver in the link is in fact the correct driver so you either have a hardware problem or a problem with your XP.  I suspect your copy of XP or XPe.  Perhaps portions of the PCMCIA support have been removed or are corrupt.  Not really sure but that driver i...

Re: How to access bios DT366

I have several different USB to PS2 converters and none will work on any of the WEBDTs that I have.  On the other hand, all USB keyboards that I have tried work with no issues. DT Research sells this keyboard as part of the their accessory line ACC-003-06. "BTC model 9118" so it would cert...

Re: Remote Desktop and Button Manager

I don't know about CE but for XP you might want to try running a separate program that stuffs the keyboard buffer.  The button manager "emulates" the effect of pressing the direction keys but does not actually stuff the keyboard buffer - at least not where you need it.  Use can use the but...

Re: Drivers For the dt368

This is kind of old but..... My 368 does not use 'brightness.exe' or 'setbright.exe' like the 366 and 360 to adjust the screen brightness.  It's a hardware issue.  You need to hold down button number 3 and use the up and down arrow to adjust the brightness.  Holding down button 4 with the up and dow...

Re: Looking for PCI to CARDBUS bridge driver

The drivers have been posted over and over - here they are again:

You need the TI1520 PCI to cardbus and the 'unknown' is the button agent with brightness control.

Good luck - Dave

Re: Re-install OS on DT360 Atigo S

I never have enough paper weights - for the right price.  You can not run Win 7 on the 360/Atigo S - only WIN CE, XPe or XP Pro WEBDT Edition. There are MANY tricks with these devices.  Read the forum to find them.  Here's a few: First you need a USB hub, keyboard, mouse, USB CD drive.  Plug it all ...
