Re: Complete Image of Puppy 4.3.1 including Penmount drivers

If you tap and hold the stylus for half a second in the same spot the right button menu should appear. Setting can be adjusted in /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Puppy 5.4

It seems that a lot of newer linux distributions are shipping with pae kernels. These kernels are not compatible with the WebDT and make it harder to source an operating system. If one searches http://distro.ibiblio.org/ we can find a image called retroprecise.iso in the puppylinux folder. Simply in...

Re: working on a new image

Yeah I have 431 running on my 360 as well. Nothing wrong there. I should move the image I am working on over to the 360 to test wifi being the source of lockups. I just got a touchscreen working on 5.4 or Puppy Precise. I may switch over to that as the base to build from. Will update this evening. q...

Potential alternate touch screen drivers

This is an interesting day. I see that Slax now has a version 7.0 out. Looking at the newer kernel caused me to hit penmount.com's download page. Much to my surprise I see a new linux listed in their drivers section: Tizen linux. https://www.tizen.org/ So I download it and open up the driver tar bal...

Re: working on a new image

Hmm, Tried with ghost 8.0 and 8.3 on a 16gb usb stick formatted to fat32. Made it with the hp utility. SP2xxxx.exe from memory. First time it asked me to fsck the source volume. Did that and tried again. It got about 5 percent in and crashed with a general error. Grabbed a ghost v11.x buts an iso an...

Re: working on a new image

Thanks Dave! Super appreciated on the ghost part. I tried and I failed. I had a few hours in to redoing the menu's last night when my girlfriend sat down next to me and hugged me. At that moment I fat fingered a button and deleted the whole puppy menu entry I had worked on up to. Will put more time ...

Complete Puppy like image, Macpup 5.2.8 aka Lucid Puppy

Hi All, Dusted off a tablet this weekend and tried out one of the newer puppy like distros out there called MacPup. Its basically Puppy Linux but with the E17 window manager. Since it lines up with Ubuntu releases it was easy to get a touchscreen working. Otherwise the hardest part of crafting linux...

Re: Debian 6 linux image for the WebDT366lx800

Its been a while (probably a year) since anyone has requested this information so its no surprise that versions have changed since the time of writing this post. I would say give clonezilla live (current) a shot and see how it goes. Instructions should be similar if not identical. Here is a link to ...
