Re: Running Windows XP Pro?

Say: [url] http://techlime.com/storage-media-drives-devices/satacfide-to-usb-20-bridge-adapter/url] Not sure if there is anywhere to pin out usb in the dt but that adapter in the above link looks like it ...

Like remote desktop but I wonder how to find out what the requirements of the client would need to be. The ubuntu dev that asked ...

Re: CarPC WebDT MediaCenter ... is it possible?
Tried many times to put the boot partition on the internal flash, then swap and put all the rest on the cf card. Never was able to pull it off. No successful reports as of yet from anyone booting from the cf slot. I even put my timeouts in the bios really high thinking it might be latency. Nope. Bot...

Re: Running Windows XP Pro?

Re: Attn. Everyone who reads this, we need Ubuntu help! Add to the bug in launchpad
When booting I tried both safe mode and passing vga=normal on the boot command at startup. That should have forced a 640x480 screen. While I could see the normal splash screen and the back and forth bouncing bar at a normal resolution, once that bar became a left to right progress indication things ...

Thoughts on thin clients
The linuxMCE project has displayed that it is possible to get a standard Debian "Lenny" distribution installed and with all needed drivers and a minimal x configuration. Things like web browsers and some of the comforts of the gui were sacrificed to make this happen. If using MCE's image y...

I saw this:
http://www.slax.org/forum.php?action=view&parentID=367
and that does seem to cover the subject but however I dont know if it would be in a thin client form such as the target boot target you are witnessing.

Re: How do I get into the BIOS?
With a USB keyboard attached power up your WebDT. As the screen becomes active hold down the F1 key. Hold it until the "splash" screen disappears. In a fraction of a second the bios should appear. I made requests of those selling these on ebay. Asking them to have their techs post here on ...
