Sorry again I am not sure on the WinCE drivers.
You can run NimbbleX from USB without changing your internal drive. It is a live environment.

I can't comment on forcing winCE drivers. The NimbleX USB image does support the touch screen. Try it, it does take a while to boot, but it is very usable.

Re: Slackware linux working on a WebDT366
Thanks quotaholic. All your hard work is appreciated. I would like to take the time to explain my experience with this install. My initial boot, I had at my disposal a USB hub with attached keyboard and mouse. I ran the netconfig utility but I still did not have networking. This is not quote's fa...

Long live the Flash Drive-Wear Leveling
This is a new topic for me. Although I have used flash media, never have I run an OS from one. I don't want to invest in flash drives, then watch them parish. I would like to list some precautions, and preparations for running the OS and utilizing swap space. Wiki Looking for facts on the hardware ...

Re: Messed up tablet?
Have you tried the reset button?
On the rear of the unit, left of the external battery remove the little round sticker. You can use the stylus to reset after hitting the power button.

I haven't had much time to mess around. I wanted to clarify. I was using the Gutsy release of Xubuntu, which is 7.10 not 7.04. I am not sure how much of a difference it would make. I just wanted to confirm. After I read your reply on the mini's I found two links. One about the remix which you spe...

Re: WinCE file system format?
Since I did not specify the block size when I stored as an image, is the reasoning for my reply above. My interpretation of your response is, it should have worked without specifying the BS. I believe the real issue is the operating system. I don't think it is recognizing the drive correctly. I n...

My experience with Xubuntu 7.10 Booted using safeGraphics mode. It was a little slow to boot, but I got a desktop. The settings were incorrect, but they should be able to be tweaked. since the resolutions were to high, I could not access the menu. I someone is good a launching from a run command...

Wake event has been set, but where?
Well some of you heard the early mention of a phantom boot. I have confirmed this morning on both my webDT's, a wake event has been set. Both units powered on at 2am Eastern time. I confirmed this with uptime Accounting for discrepancies in each clock, both units powered on precisely at 2am accordi...

Re: WinCE file system format?
I did not try it at 512. I did it two ways. On the second try I wrote the dd to an .img file. I would think writing to an image file would eliminate the block size as a variable, since no block size is used when writing the image.david_halliday wrote: did you try
dd -bs=512
Dave.
Is my assumption correct?
