Re: WinCE file system format?
Thanks Fleegman,
Do you think this is my problem with trying to use dd to create an image with the current NimbleX build?
Perhaps I should try a later distro. I can try once I get my USB hub.

Re: 100% Working NimbleX on the WebDT366
Thanks Dave, I did download one rdesktop.mo, it did not launch though. Do you know if this is a server or client or server/client app? Some things worth noting on the NimbleX on USB, or feature requests. Don't get locked out, I accidentally hit lock on the Kmenu, this immediately logs you off, and ...

Re: Using modules LiveMode, where do they go?
It makes sence. When I navigate to the Home icon on the desktop, I see the following Desktop Downloads xtools NimbleX USB Install.desktop Set IP address I did not know that the Downloads folder was volatile. I guess it is not a good place to put items I want to use next boot. I just verified this ...

WinCE file system format?
What is the format of the internal drive when running WinCE? It seems Linux does not recognize it. Gparted lists the drive as 494.19 MB and as unallocated. /dev/hda information on the drive is listed as having 1012096 sectors. When I used the dd command on this drive, it is seen as having 1024000 ...

Re: How do I right click?
Thanks for the quick response, it works.
You really need a steady hand though. Two cups of coffee and no food, it is tough. It almost feels like I have the "DT's", pun intended...LOL.

Using modules LiveMode, where do they go?
I have successfully downloaded a few modules. From FireFox on the WebDT running NimbleX, I have downloaded a few modules. I downloaded Gparted.mo and the GpartedLibraries.mo. I double clicked both .mo files and the were loaded into liveMode. I was able to run Gparted from the run command. I wante...

Thanks, that saves me from digging out a screwdriver and yanking the battery.darkcirca wrote: It's for restarting the device, such as when the buttons may lock up (rather than removing the battery).
Some of the older models require you to use the reset button to boot, as it is for "cold booting".

Backing up the contents of internal flash
I had no luck restoring from the image. I have two units. I am trying to cloan one. On the unit which boots WinCE I performed the following steps. Try #1 with the following setup; Boot with a 1Gig USB, NimbleX on Partition1 400MB (allows 141MB free space for changes), dd winCE to Partition2 525MB,...

Reset Button function?
Has anyone used the reset button, located on the back? It is hidden behind a round sticker.
I was curious what type of a reset does it perform.

Re: 100% Working NimbleX on the WebDT366
After some major web searching I am near to conclusion. Since we are using slax5 as a base, we should be using .mo files which were phased by Slax6, which uses the .lzm module system. Here is a source for Slax5 modules http://ftp.cc.uoc.gr/mirrors/linux/slax/SLAX-5-modules/ Get'em while you can. ;...

Re: 100% Working NimbleX on the WebDT366
I am struggling with the .lzm I have no experience with Slackware modules. Questions: Are Slax .lzm files compatible? How can I right click? Are we missing the package manager? I see module manager, but it only wants .mo files I tried the [activate] command in a terminal but that command was not f...

Re: 100% Working NimbleX on the WebDT366
Sure, I'll look into it. I am curious about installing to the internal memory. Is this advisable? I have to do a little more reading about how to handle swap and such. Is the internal drive rated for swap space, or will it be killed? I remember reading about write backs, but I think that was in r...
