So does your DT366 recognize all 32gb? I was led to believe that the DT366 would only recognize 4gb max.

yep, ozi explorer installed on internal hdd, 16gb of maps installed on cf.

then garmin mapsource, and nroute installed on internal hdd, and 6gb of maps on cf.

currently 83mb free on the 512, and 10gb free on CF.. have test run both programs, accessing random maps, all work fine.

^ Thanks for your post two ago that answers a question I was just about to ask here. As for seeing bigger CF cards I know my 16GB one it notices mine without a problem. azcaddman if I have any questions on how you did what you did for a GPS stuff do you mind if I contact you? The reason I ask is because I wanted to see if I could make this unit into a GPS along with another sub project but GPS is the ultimate goal of this system at this point.

Oh also meaning to ask with wanting to make this into a GPS unit and using MicroXP is there a way to bring up the on-screen keyboard?  I am presuming this something that has to be added after the Windows OS has been installed correct?  Thanks.

MicroXP doesn't include the on screen keyboard. That is a part of the accessability package that was left out. I am using the Click n Type keyboard from http://www.lakefolks.org/. It works well and has some neat features

You can grab the keyboard files from a regular windows install. Just drop them into the system32 folder and you are good to go.

^^ & ^ Thanks for your information you have provided me.

I will give the 1st suggestion and see how that goes and worst case I'll do what the 2nd suggestion was.  Thanks again.

Still couldn't get the touchscreen to work, put Debian 1.2 image on it - I guess I'll give it another shot if someone "delivers" me an image or something

From Windows System32 you need osk.exe and msswch.dll

Pros - Windows KB is smaller (file) 224 KB both files
        - Click n Type has more options and is larger (physically)
        - Windows KB is a Windows KB

Cons- Windows KB is smaller (physically)
        - Click n Type is larger installed (just over 1 MB)

^^ Wow your not having luck with that at all?  I was able to get that working first since that was the driver I did first myself.  Are you using the files the person had posted in regards to the drivers?

^ I noticed that and also the Click and Type is ABC order vs. traditional keyboards.

Ya I downloaded the driver pack for it.
I only got the video to work and that's about it, and the PCMCIA.

tkdcompdude,

The click n type KB has different layouts. Goto File->Select a User Keyboard

I am using the QWERTY 101 short KB

Do you have your Bluetooth working? If so could you tell me who provided the drivers? Mine is not working.

I couldn't get the touchscreen working at first but then I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and it works now.

With regards to the .NET Framework 2.2 although the download is 22MB and you can set the temp folder to be the CF disk it still requires ~200MB on your main disk to complete the installation.

yea, the click-type works find, has qwerty layout, and you can re-size it to whatever size (just drag the window corner, like most other programs).

fwiw, you can copy the basic screensaver files from an xp install over also.

anybody get the screen brighness controlls to work?

No, I couldn't get any drivers to install for it. It didn't seem to install with the button driver.
