Elive is one of the few distributions that will boot to a desktop with little to no configuration whatsoever. Its too bad that it takes three gigs of hard disc to install it. Touchscreen was not functioning however most everything else was.
To boot in to elive 1.9.24 development select "failsafe 1" from the boot option menu. and enjoy
