You need to set the BIOS to boot off the USB stick. There are several detailed explanations posted here but basically:
Plug in a real USB keyboard - not one on an adapter
Power up the tablet ans start tapping the F1 key - about once per second until you enter the set up.
Choose USB Hard Drive as the first boot device - save and reboot.
Based on your BIOS version, there could be a BOOT ORDER section or the setting will be under MOTHERBOARD CONFIGURATION and then DRIVE CONFIGURATION.
Good luck.

Re: Help !!!!! Web DT Newbie
Flash video may be a little too much for the webdt depending on how the video was encoded.
Here is a link for the hardware requirements for flash player 11.
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplay ... specs.html
If memory serves the GX has a 400mhz cpu and 256mb of ram. While you are in bios look at the video adapter settings and think about upping the ram to 24mb of shared video memory. It may help some.

it only lets me set the video to 16 mb . . . . .would i need to manually install more or delete things . . . . . and when set to 16 it still tries to access the usb drive but then defaults to booting ce? . .. .

List all the details of what it is you are trying to boot to including how you put the OS to the usb stick. Nimblex can run from USB but nobody has been able to get the WebDT version of Nimblex to boot from internal ssd. On USB Nimblex is slower than dirt as the GX series only offers USB 1.1.
My best luck was in utilizing a usb cd-rom and burning iso's to cd. Powered usb hub and even then sometimes I had hassles. These devices are tricky but not impossible. If you dont mind nuking the Win CE on the ssd try out my debian 6 image or the newer Slitaz or even puppy linux. There are detailed how to's all over this forum. If you are not comfortable with using the dd command in linux I even went as far as to use clonezilla to back up my unit and posted that backup. Clonezilla will allow you to restore from my back up as well as backing up your existing Win CE.
