XPe - using XPLite

Ok guys, I remember from some time ago there was an app called XPLite.
This trims unneeded features and components from XP, basically any build.
I'm gonna just stick with openSuSE on my laptop, and run XPe, on my DT.
Thing is, I installed the demo on my laptop (Windows Vista Premium), and my other pc (Windows XP).
I can't get a build, I've tried lots of things, followed all the steps.
I got SP2 and SP3, but thought SP3 was unnecessary.
Anyways, XPLite, to use or not to use.
I hope I can get a working build.
I've been having DB Problems as well.
but I won't give up, I think XPe is a good idea.
Pretty funny story my uncle owns a little pc shop, (I happen to work at another one), but he has LICSENCED
XPe keys, if I pay microsoft.
He would give me a key 50% off, lucky me eh?
